Abstract
The authors present a novel algorithm for echo cancellation. The algor ithm consists of simultaneously applying the LMS algorithm to the near -end section of the echo canceller, and a controlled mixed LMS-LMF alg orithm to the far-end section. This combination results in a substanti al improvement in performance of the proposed scheme over the LMS and the LMF algorithms.
