Abstract
A new transmitter type 'MirMod' is presented, in which, for the first time an optical data pattern is generated by electrically modulating t he reflectivity of laser mirrors. The pump current is kept constant. A dvantages of the new transmitter are low control power, high speed, an d low chirp.
