Abstract
In InP-based Mach-Zehnder modulator has been realised, and transmissio n over a standard fibre at 10Gbit/s over 90-127km has been successfull y demonstrated in a single-arm configuration scheme, in the wavelength range 1530-1560nm. The sole bias voltage has been adjusted to take in to account the wavelength dependence of the electro-optic efficiency o f the phase modulator material.
