Abstract
A new chromium(v) complex, is(2-hydroxyethyl)amino]ethanolato}oxochrom ate(v), formed by the ligand-displacement reaction of bis(2-ethyl-2-hy droxybutanoato)oxochromate(v) with 2,2-bis( hydroxymethyl)-2-[bis(2-hy droxyethyl)amino] ethanol, has been characterized by EPR spectroscopy; the reaction proceeded through a mixed-ligand chromium(v) intermediat e.
