Excitation functions for the production of (105(m+g))Ag-106(m)Ag, from
(alpha, xn) reactions on natural Rhodium were determined experimental
ly in this paper. The method of activation of stacked metallic foils w
as employed. The irradiations were performed in the Isochronous Cyclot
ron at Karlsruhe (IK III/Zyclotron, Germany) with alpha-particles at 8
7 MeV. Gamma-spectrometry by with an intrinsic Ge detector was used to
determine the produced nuclides. In addition, the yields of thick tar
gets were calculated. In order to compare all the reactions (alpha, xn
) (x=1-4) on rhodium we used data from a previous work made at the Cyc
lotron in Buenos Aires, where the excitation functions for the product
ion of Rh-103(alpha, xn) Ag-107-x(x=1-4) were determinated, A comparis
on between the experimental and the cross sections calculated using th
e EXCLUSIVE INDEX model is presented.
