A method is proposed for estimating observational efficiency in the ra
diant (antiradiant) of meteor streams, based on the available a priori
information about the stream. Observations conducted on the l-m teles
cope of the Simeiz Observatory in the Crimea from 9 to 15 August, 1995
near the radiant of the Perseid stream are described; a method develo
ped to estimate distances to objects, the sizes of the objects, and po
ssible Earth fly-by distances is also discussed. The results attest to
the existence of meter- and decameter-sized bodies in the Perseid met
eor stream.
