Abstract
Traumatic dislocation of the tibialis posterior tendon (TPT) is an unc ommon condition, The diagnosis is difficult and may be delayed, impair ing the activity level, The authors present a case, wherein the diagno sis was clinical, supported by magnetic resonance imaging, Treatment w as surgical; reconstruction of the retinaculum was performed with a me dial slip of the Achilles tendon that was detached proximally and atta ched to the medial malleolus. A full functional recovery to a highly c ompetitive activity was obtained after 12 weeks.
