Abstract
A method using foreign metal adatoms is proposed for distinguishing ad sorbed and dissolved hydrogen in palladium electrodes. It is shown tha t the solubility of hydrogen in the a phase of different dispersed pal ladium samples is higher than that in smooth Pd and increases as the d ispersity increases. On the basis of the Bucur model, a quantitative e stimate is made of the structural defectiveness of the palladium dispe rsed forms investigated.
