Abstract
A moderate yield synthesis of 4-trifluoromethyl-2-pyridones and a low yield formation of a 4-trifluoromethylpyrano[2,3-c]-pyrazol-6(1H)-one from 3-oxo-4,4,4-trifluorobutanenitriles are reported.
