Abstract
The production of the SM Higgs boson phi with intermediate mass at the proposed CERN LEP x LHC ep collider in gamma q((q) over bar) --> W(+/ -)phi q'((q) over bar), gamma q((q) over bar) --> Z(0) phi q((q) over bar), and g gamma --> q (q) over bar phi events is studied. This is do ne for all possible (massive) flavors of the quarks q(q') and using ph otons generated via Compton back scattering of laser light. We study s ignatures in which the Higgs boson decays to b (b) over bar pairs and the electroweak vector bosons W-+/- and Z(0) decay either hadronically or leptonically. All possible backgrounds to these signals are also c omputed. Flavor identification on b jets is assumed. Explicit formulas for helicity amplitudes of the above processes are given.
