Abstract
Within the semibosonized SU(3) Nambu-Jona-Lasinio (NJL) model we calcu late the Gottfried sum with linear 1/N-c and strange mass corrections and find surprising agreement with recent NMC measurements. The limits of pure valence and pure bosonized pictures are derived.
