Abstract
The high-field magnetization of the one-dimensional trimer system 3CuC l(2) . 2 dioxane has been measured up to 30 T in the temperature range between 1.5 and 9 K. The spin system is considered as an antiferromag netic chain of ferromagnetic trimers consisting of S = 1/2 spins, whic h has more quantum nature than a genuine S = 3/2 spin system.
