The effect of hydrostatic pressure on the resistivity of Ce(Ru1-xFe2)(
2)Ge-2 was studied. Chemical pressure (alloying) and hydrostatic press
ure produce similar changes in the physical properties of the series d
riving it from the ferromagnetic (CeRu2Ge2) to the heavy fermion (CeFe
2Ge2) ground state with (decreasing) unit cell volume as a unique para
meter; f-p(Ce-Ge) hybridization is, probably, also giving some contrib
ution to the changes.
