Abstract
We found the asymptotic solutions at low and high temperatures of the partition function of a general one-dimensional binary alloy. As a par ticular application, we considered the thermodynamic properties of qua siperiodic Fibonacci lattices. We showed that, at low temperatures, th e quasiperiodicity produces an extra peak in the specific heat when pl otted versus temperature.
