Abstract
Two different large eddy simulations are statistically equivalent if t hey produce the same statistical representation. In this paper this ba sic definition is discussed in detail and a new formulation of the sub grid scale dynamic model that should force the statistical equivalence of different simulations at different resolution levels is proposed.
