Abstract
The dielectric constant as well as the electrical resistivity of the c ompounds (CH2)(8)(H-3)(2)Fe(x)Cd(1-x)CL(4) (x = 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60 , 72 mole%) were measured in the temperature range including their pha se transition. From the obtained data it was found that the dielectric constant increases with increasing Fe concentration in the complex. A maximum dielectric constant value was obtained at a concentration of similar or equal to 50 mole%. The same behaviour was observed in the e lectrical resistivity data. The values of the activation energies as c alculated from the experimental data indicate a semiconducting behavio ur of the complexes. The hopping model was the predominant one in disc ussing the results.
