Abstract
This paper describes a method for calculating the flows and head losse s in the network of pipes and pumps that make up the multi-jet pump in stallations that are used to dewater foundation excavations in fine so ils. The constitutive equations modelling the system are derived and c ompared with test data. It is shown that the solution of these equatio ns may be obtained in a reasonably straightforward manner, and this is demonstrated for an example of an installation with ten jet pumps dri ven by one centrifugal pump.
