Abstract
Selective separation of citric acid and process optimization for its r ecovery from fermented broth through precipitation and acid hydrolysis were tried. A mathematical model has been proposed for yield. The exp erimental values are in good agreement with predicted values; the corr elation coefficient was found to 0.9198.
