Abstract
We investigate the characteristics of phase transitions in dense hadro nic matter using the hypersphere approach in an extended Skyrme model which implements correctly the scale symmetry of QCD. The transition f rom a localized density phase to a delocalized uniform density phase i s found to be of first order at a critical radius of the hypersphere. Chiral restoration and gluon decondensation also take place at the sam e critical size of the hypersphere.
