Abstract
Ion exchange between chlorohyrdate of the cross-linked copolymer of vi nylethynylpiperidol with methylenebisacrylamide and spin-labeled potas sium xanthate was studied by ESR and UV spectroscopies. Maximum adsorp tion of potassium xanthate by the hydrogel tends to equimolar as cacul ated with respect to the piperidol groups of the hydrogel. The adsorpt ion itself conforms to a two-step mechanism.
