Abstract
In this paper two methods are presented to design window functions for TDAC-coding systems. The first method uses time limited window functi ons,It is shown that the design of a 'maximum smooth window function' results in the calculation of coefficients of a Fourier series. The se cond method uses time unlimited window functions. In reference to the subbandfilter technique, it is shown that solutions can be found witho ut using the property of overlapping of only two adjacent bandfilters in the frequency domain. In the here presented solution the overlappin g factor is greater than two. The two design methods are discussed usi ng several examples.
