Abstract
Molecular mechanics (MMX) and molecular orbital calculations (MNDO and AM1) have been carried out on various 2,3,6-trideoxy-3-amino-hexopyra noses: according to the numerical results obtained, the anomeric effec ts can be predicted as well as the conformational behaviour and the ge ometries of these compounds.
