Abstract
The Abelian B-F term coupled to nontopological dynamical fields is qua ntized in a path- and surface-dependent representation that generalize s the loop representation. The gauge-invariant sector of the theory is shown to be labeled by equivalence classes of sets of paths and open surfaces that reflect the topological nature of the B-F interaction.
