DISCOVERING DEFECTS IN DRIVES OF PROCESS VALVES

DriveControl Plus is a mobile test bench for drives developed for chec king valve drives and for rapid defect detection. The use of digital t echnology has enhanced the accuracy and reproducibility over the perfo rmance of analog data capturing and processing systems. Drives with po wers up to 110 kW can be examined. Regularly recurrent in-service insp ections of actuation and control drives in nuclear power plants benefi t from the test bench as a result of its mobility, which allows it to be set up quickly at any point of use. This makes for shorter and more cost effective revisions. PreussenElektra is the first nuclear power plant operator employing DriveControl Plus in Brokdorf.
