Abstract
We identified a novel AvaI polymorphism within 3' noncoding region wit hin exon 5 of the human rhodopsin gene and determined the allele frequ ency in a Japanese population. The polymorphism was found to be due to A/G transversion at nucleotide 5510 of the gene.
