OPPORTUNISTIC MYCOTIC INFECTIONS OF THE UPPER-LIMB - A REVIEW

Opportunistic fungal infections of the upper limb are rare and require a host who is immunologically compromised. A review of these rare myc otic infections is presented. The hand surgeon should be aware of thes e infections and should have a high index of suspicion in order to est ablish an early diagnosis and institute an appropriate management.
