Difference temperature functions of H-2 uptake obtained by subtraction
of the curves observed for the individual supports from those found f
or the corresponding Pd and Cu catalysts reveal a maximum near 470-570
K, where hydrogen spillover is supposed. The effect of hydrogen spill
over is intensified for the catalysts comprising several transition me
tals, which seems to demonstrate the influence of the steps of electro
n transfer on the process of formation of active palladium particles o
n the surface.
