Abstract
For personnel dosimetry to Nuclear Research Centre (NRC) workers of th e Atomic Energy Authority of Egypt, film badges and whole body counter s are in use. In the present study annual exposures to NRC workers are discussed during the period 1988-1993. The average annual external ex posures were found to vary from 2.9 mSv to 5.2 mSv. The collective dos es were also found to vary from 1.06 to 1.79 man-Sv. Following the new ICRP recommendations, the average exposure to NRC workers over the pe riod from 1989 to 1993 is 20 mSv, while the average annual exposure is 4 mSv, these values are 20% of the dose limits recommended by the new ICRP recommendations.
