Es. Moskalenko et al., EFFECT OF NONEQUILIBRIUM ACOUSTIC PHONONS ON EXCITON-STATES IN INTERRUPTED GROWN GAAS AL0.33GA0.67AS QUANTUM-WELLS/, Physica. B, Condensed matter, 220, 1996, pp. 59-61
We present the first studies of the effect of heat pulses on the excit
on luminescence from GaAs/Al0.33Ga0.67As quantum wells (QW) prepared u
sing growth interrupts to reduce the interface step density. We have o
bserved the redistribution of excitons between the main thinner part a
nd islands one monolayer thick of the QW induced by the heat pulses. T
he effect strongly depends on the relative position of heater and exci
ton gas and is discussed in terms of the drag of free excitons produce
d by ''phonon wind''.
