Piezoelectric PbTiO3 films with preferred c-axis orientation were fabr
icated on MgO substrates by RF-sputtering method. By using a fabricate
d interdigital electrode, surface acoustic waves (SAWs) with a frequen
cy of 192 MHz were propagated on PbTiO3 film/MgO substrate and on supe
rconducting Bi(Pb)(2)Sr2CaCu2OF film/PbTiO3/MgO substrate. The tempera
ture dependence of the SAW attenuation coefficient was investigated be
low room temperature.
