U. Escher et al., THE INFLUENCE OF SRSO4 ADDITIVES TO BI2SR2CACU2O8 HIGH-TEMPERATURE SUPERCONDUCTORS, Physica. B, Condensed matter, 220, 1996, pp. 189-191
For application in electrical engineering BSCCO 2212 high temperature
superconductors have been manufactured with an admixture of strontium
sulphate (SrSO4). On three samples with different SrSO4 content we hav
e measured the specific heat and the thermal expansion behaviour in th
e temperature region between 4.2 K and 293 K. The admixture increases
the specific heat and the contraction, which indicates a decreasing De
bye temperature. At both properties anomalies indicate the phase trans
ition point at about 90 K. The temperature dependence of the thermal p
roperties below 20 K is characteristic for amorphous behaviour of soli
ds.
