Abstract
Raman scattering and mass spectra of n-propanol and p-dioxane mixtures
have been measured in order to study diluted effects on n-propanol. T
he results of both high frequency Raman spectra and mass spectra show
the rapid decrease of clusters of hydrogen bonded molecules with decre
asing n-propanol mole fractions (X(np)). In the low frequency Raman sp
ectra, line shapes were analyzed using the mode coupling theory, it is
found that the minimum frequency of the imaginary part of dynamic sus
ceptibility, omega(min), becomes lower with decreasing x(np). These co
ncentration dependencies suggest a strong relation between the slow st
ructural relaxation and the network structure of molecules in n-propan
ol.
