Abstract
The four building blocks N-alpha-Fmoc-Tyr(Bz(4)-alpha-D-Glc)-OPfp 1, N -alpha-Fmoc-Tyr(Bz(4)-beta-D-Glc)-OPfp 2, N-alpha-Fmoc-Tyr [Bz(4)-alph a-D-Glc-(1-->4)-Bz(3)-alpha-D-Glc]-OPfp 3 and Tyr[Ac-4-alpha-D-Glc-(1- ->4)-Ac-3-beta-D-Glc]-OPfp 4 were used in continuous-how solid-phase s ynthesis of four 25-amino-acid-long glycopeptides 5-8 related to glyco genin, The unglycosylated peptide 9 was synthesized as well, and the f ive glycogenin fragments were tested as accepters for glucosyl transfe r by recombinant glycogenin.
