Abstract
A new method to calculate the acceptor number AN and the donor number DN of a solid is given It is based on the mathematical resolution of a nonlinear system. Calculations show that the ND of MgO is equal to 20 and that of ZnO is equal to 18. Therefore, the same tendency is obser ved, according with the results of zeta potential.
