Abstract
A review of the CT and MRI features of stroke Imaging is presented. Th
e pathophysiology of stroke is discussed as a basis for understanding
the neuroimaging findings. Neuroimaging is divided according to the ti
me interval between ictus and imaging: hyperacute, acute, subacute, an
d chronic. Newer MR stroke imaging techniques such as perfusion imagin
g and diffusion-weighted imaging are presented.
