Abstract
Electroreduction of the niobium chloride complexes in the NaCl-KCl mel t is studied. Diffusion coefficients for the Nb(IV) and Nb(V) complexe s and standard rate constants of charge transfer for the reduction of Nb(V) to Nb(IV) are determined. The electrochemical behavior of Nb3Cl8 in an equimolar mixture of sodium and potassium chlorides is discusse d.
