Abstract
Several (pyridyloxymethylene)dimethylphosphine oxides and (8-quinolylo xymethylene)dimethylphosphine oxide have been synthesized via the Will iamson reaction from (chloromethyl)dimethylphosphine oxide and the sod ium salts of hydroxypyridines and 8-hydroxyquinoline. The structure of these new compounds was confirmed by elemental analysis, IR-, H-1- an d P-31-NMR spectroscopy.
