Abstract
The measurement process for hidden-configuration formulations of quant um mechanics is analysed. It is shown how a satisfactory description o f quantum measurement can be given in this framework. The unified trea tment of hidden-configuration theories, including Bohmian mechanics an d Nelson's stochastic mechanics, helps in understanding the true reaso ns why the problem of quantum measurement can succesfully be solved wi thin such theories.
