Dn. Tripathy et S. Mishra, CAN THERE BE A T-3-LN-T KIND OF BEHAVIOR OF THE LOW-TEMPERATURE SPECIFIC-HEAT OF LIQUID-HE-3 WITHOUT THE PARAMAGNONS, Physica. B, Condensed matter, 226(4), 1996, pp. 338-344
It is shown that even without invoking the concepts like paramagnons,
the temperature dependence of the interparticle correlations in a syst
em of liquid He-3 can give rise a T-3 In T kind of behaviour of its lo
w temperature fermionic specific heat. It is found to be coming from t
he self-energy corrections to the bare single particle energy involvin
g the particle-hole propagator. Looking at the similar kind of behavio
ur observed by us recently for an electron liquid, one may conclude th
at the T-3 In T behaviour is perhaps universal for all fermi systems,
although for liquid He-3 the very dependence also follows from the par
amagnon effects. It is interesting to see that unlike earlier theories
, an extremely good fit is obtained with the experimental data over th
e entire range of low temperatures.
