Abstract
Elementary considerations are used to carry out a Fourier decompositio n of the radiation intensity for a model atmosphere that has a ground defined by a general reflection function. In contrast to simpler probl ems, the intensity here has both sine and cosine components that are c oupled by way of the boundary conditions at the ground. Copyright (C) 1996 Elsevier Science Ltd
