Abstract
This paper presents results of experiments with 49 organic solvents in comparison with HCl, NH3 and SO2. The uniform duration of the treatme nt was three hours. With a few substances long time treatments were al so investigated. During the trials not only damage symptoms were recor ded but also the rates of photosynthesis, transpiration and leaf growt h.
