Abstract
Three F-2 families have been established for QTL mapping by crossing g enetically divergent Wild boar, Meishan and Pietrain pigs. More than 9 00 F-2 animals are typed for a large number of marker loci and are rec orded for over 100 quantitative traits. In a first analysis QTLs on ch romosome 6 have been mapped in the region of the ryanodine receptor ge ne. Also several traits were significantly associated with different G H haplotyes.
