Abstract
A solution to the problem of wave excitation in a wedge-shaped region occupied with gas or liquid and subjected to a driving force applied t o the wedge boundary is constructed. Functional equations are derived, and their solutions are found by the factorization method. For a part icular case of a plane wave reflected from wedge faces, the solution a grees with that obtained by Malyuzhinets.
