A method for solving mass-transfer problems for solid particles in tur
bulent flow is proposed. Relations for determining the mass-transfer c
oefficients in the liquid-solid system as functions of the size of sol
id particles, their sphericity, the continuous-phase properties, and t
he conditions of agitation are derived. Comparison of the theoretical
results with the experimental data available in the literature indicat
es that the derived relations can be used for engineering calculations
