Abstract
In 1989, Ahlswede and Dueck introduced a new formulation of Shannon th eory called ''identification via channels''. This paper presents a sim ple construction of codes for identification via channels when the pro bability of false identification is measured by its average. The propo sed code achieves the identification capacity, and its construction do es not require any knowledge of coding theory.
