The basic regularities of the corrosion-electrochemical behavior of al
ternately layered electroplates (ALP) copper-nickel were investigated.
It was established that the protective ability of ALPs in a NaCl solu
tion is proportional to the number of the layer-pairs in a plate of th
e same thickness. It enables one to apply coatings of a higher protect
ive quality with the same consumption of metals, or to substantially r
educe the use of expensive nonferrous metals, retaining the basic perf
ormance of the protective coatings.
