Four novel clerodane diterpenes have been isolated from the leaves of
Laetia procera. They were characterized by extensive use of HMBC spect
roscopy as a mixture of oyloxy-5(R),8(R),9(S),10(R)-cleroda-3,12,14-tr
iene and oyloxy-5(R),8(R),9(S),10(R)-cleroda-2,12,14-triene and a mixt
ure of toyloxy-5(R),8(R),9(S),10(R)cleroda-3,12,14-triene and yloxy-5(
