Abstract
The heartwood of Berchemia zeyheri yielded (4-hydroxybenzyl)-3-methylb enzo[b]-furan-2(3H)-one and the 5- and 7-[2-(4-coumaroyl)]maesopsins, benzofuranoid-type flavonoids with molecular backbones reminiscent of products of benzylic acid rearrangement. Copyright (C) 1996 Elsevier S cience Ltd
