AMI PROCESS MODEL IN PRACTICE - IMPROVEME NT OF THE SOFTWARE-DEVELOPMENT PROCESS AT VOEST-ALPINE STAHL LINT GMBH APPLYING THE AMI PROCESS MODEL

Starting with a short description of the pure process model, we demons trate its use on VOEST-ALPINE Stahl Lint GmbH in a real world project and thereby prove its usefulness in an industrial environment. After o utlining the project's background, we give a survey on the different p hases of the ami process model (''application of metrics in industry'' resp. ''assess/analyse/metricate/improve'') . The effect of its stepw ise implementation is shown along the whole project. A comparison of t he results of the two conducted self-assements applying the SEI Capabi lity Maturity Model and the experiences in using metrics in the softwa re development process complete the practitioner's report.
