A spectroscopic study of Sb-112 has been carried out using the Rh-103(
C-12,3n) reaction. The low energy excited levels are interpreted in te
rms of two-quasiparticle configurations arising from the proton and ne
utron motion in the pi g(7/2), pi d(5/2), nu g(7/2), nu d(5/2) and nu
h(11/2) Shell model orbitals. A strongly coupled rotational band, most
likely based on a deformed pi g(9/2)(-1)pi g(7/2)(2) x nu h(11/2) con
figuration, is identified at somewhat higher excitation energy. The B(
M1)/B(E2) ratios for some of the transitions in the strongly coupled b
and indicate mixed nature of the intrinsic configuration.
